UPDATE: Cold Cocked has been dropped from the show. The band has posted an IG story claiming they are not antisemitic or racist, only anti-zionist. Interestingly, they play music with a rap artist called CrimeSlug under the name Wigger Terror Unit. CrimeSlug has a post with Cold Cocked that includes ‘#nickfuentes’ and both accounts have posts referencing “white boy summer” which is at best tone-deaf and at worst a white supremacist dog whistle.
Metal band Cold Cocked from Sherando, Va is on the bill for the Banditos show on 7/11. They’ve posted antisemitic memes referencing the “ZOG”, an anti-jewish conspiracy theory. Posts like these are indicative of a far right, white supremacist ideology. Let your communities know who this band is and make sure they are not welcome in your city or music scenes. If you see bands like this on flyers for upcoming shows, call the venue and let them know what is going on.
Far right extremism is an insidious presence in our subcultures and needs to be eliminated as soon as discovered. Fascists will use popular support for Palestinian liberation to their advantage. Don’t be fooled.
